The stigma of mental health in the black community

For a long time, mental health has been treated like a taboo topic in the Black community—especially for Black men. It's often seen as a sign of weakness or a lack of faith, which has made it hard for many to feel comfortable asking for help.

We wanted to flip the script. So, we teamed up with Jason Wilson to spark an honest, uplifting convo with our founder, Brandon Marshall. The two sat down to talk about what it really means to be a Black man trying to juggle family, business, and personal growth—and how prioritizing mental health fits into that journey.

Jason Wilson is a father, writer, and man of faith who has been mentoring boys and young men for years, teaching them how to rise above life's inevitable challenges. After the release of his latest book, “The Man the Moment Demands,” Brandon Marshall sits down with him to discuss the messages and the lessons in his book and how he implements those lessons in his own journey. A conversation of vulnerability and the plight of the modern-day man.
